About us
Our Commitment to the Last Frontier
At Paul’s Tree Service, we know it might seem like an oxymoron to call a tree company 'environmentally friendly.' The reality is that our work has an impact, but we believe it is our responsibility to limit that footprint wherever we can. We aren't interested in just putting a 'green exterior' on our company; we are focused on real steps to protect Alaska’s future. While we can’t eliminate every impact, we take deliberate actions to reduce it:
We use biodegradable bar oil and 2-cycle mix to prevent soil and water contamination.
All business cards and work orders are printed on recycled paper.
We offer fully paperless communication and billing options to save resources.
100% of organic debris is repurposed, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
We live here, we work here, and we’re dedicated to keeping Alaska's landscapes healthy for the next generation
Spruce Up Anchorage (SUA)
Spruce Up Anchorage began in 2020 in response to the Spruce bark beetle outbreak. The beetle epidemic impacted Anchorage for many years and the landscape was radically changed in the more recent years leading up to 2020. For Paul and his team at Paul's Tree Service, this was the opportunity to give back to a community that has always been so supportive and nurturing to the company.
Starting in 2020, Paul’s Tree service donated 200 spruce saplings to residents of Anchorage and Eagle River. Many recipients, friends and family asked about donating money to the program and were touched by how the program was dedicated to Betsy Guzenski, Paul’s mother who had passed away, as well. This year we made the decision to register as a non profit and expand upon our impact in the community and how we can help.
